Things to know for your news broadcast:
- All members of your group MUST appear in the news broadcast. You will need to think about the different roles each member could play (EG: someone will need to be the host and introduce the segment, someone will need to be the reporter and another person may want to be an ‘expert’, a ‘witness’ or a ‘concerned citizen)
- The purpose is not to simply record your questions and answers! You must link the information together in an interesting, persuasive and informative way.
- You will need to create script that outlines what each person will talk about. This will also help when you are filming.
- Your presentation must have a key message and perspective on your topic. You need to convince the audience that your point of view is accurate and well supported by evidence
